RECONECT is part of the EU Task Force on Nature-Based Solutions for hydro-meteorological risk reduction!
The task force, representing four Horizon 2020 projects (RECONECT, OPERANDUM, PHUSICOS and NAIAD), is our joint answer to the global call for the NBS work stream of the Climate Action Summit 2019. The Task Force brings as contribution its knowledge and experience on NBS coming from areas all around the world (the projects count together over 30 demonstrators across 22 European countries, as well as sites in all the other continents).
The details of our contribution are available here and in the EU environment platform, along with nearly 150 other proposals responding to the global call on NBS.
The Climate Action Summit will be held in New York on September 23, with the aim of accelerating actions to reach the Climate Change goals set in the Paris Agreement and sending strong signals to politicians and markets about the need for urgent changes.
