A series of National Workshops are organized by our Demonstrators and EU Collaborators, with the aim to enforce the stakeholder’s engagement at regional/national level and to increase their awareness on NbS potential and applicability.

Elbe Estuary Workshop
On July, 11th 2022 the first national workshop in the demonstrator Elbe Estuary took place. The workshop aimed at inform the participants about the project, the activities of the project partners in the demonstrator area and the current project results.

Portofino Natural Park Workshop
The workshop was jointly organized by the Italian RECONECT cluster, composed by Portofino Park, CNR IRPI and GISIG, with the support of the University of Genoa. In RECONECT, the Portofino Regional Park represents the pilot site for Italy.

IJssel River Basin Workshop
An online workshop organized by RECONECT partner TAUW bv. The emphasis of the workshop was on the IJssel river and its relevance for Dutch water infrastructure challenges. Among the audience were representatives from Dutch public authorities, students & university workers.

Thur River Basin Workshop
The Eawag team of the RECONECT project organised the online workshop “First Swiss National Workshop on Nature-Based Solutions”. One of the objectives of the workshop was to disseminate the results of the RECONECT project relative to the Thur catchment, which is the Swiss Demo Case.

Inn / Geroldsbach River Basin Workshop
The purpose of this workshop was to inform the local community about the progress of RECONECT in Austria, to present first results regarding monitoring and modelling activities and to stimulate a discussion of local stakeholders regarding NBS performance.

Tordera River Basin Workshop
The purpose of the workshop was to present to key stakeholders the Flood Hazard Maps and Flood Risk Maps, developed in application of the Floods Directive; as well as to present the NBS that was being developed in the context of the RECONECT project to reduce flood risk in the area.
