The RECONECT research team has published an article on the valuation of vulnerability of Small Island and Developing States (SIDS) in case of hydro-meteorological hazards.

Socioeconomic vulnerability was assessed basing on three components: susceptibility, lack of coping capacities and lack of adaptation.

This method was applied to the Sint Maarten case study (RECONECT collaborator), in relation to the implications of Hurricane Irma in 2017.
